The policing settlement

Policing responsibilities are allocated by jurisdiction and function.

Historical context

Under the former Hampshire Roleplay Community, community-wide rule enforcement was carried out through moderation and community administration. Separately, Hampshire Constabulary operated as an England-side roleplay and public-service function in that former environment.

The current National Police Service is a public policing institution within the present United Hampshire constitutional settlement. It must not be described as a continuation or renaming of former HRC-wide moderation, and HIOWC must not be described as a predecessor national police service.
